Reverse description The reverse is divided into two horizontal registers commemorating the millennium of the death of Saint Adalbert (Św. Wojciech). The upper register depicts two medieval manuscript-style scenes: at left, a baptism scene under an arch with two robed figures attending a child at a font; at right, a funerary bier scene with a stylized tree and a body laid upon a table. A horizontal band across the center carries the inscription 'ŚMIERCI ŚW. WOJCIECHA'. The lower register presents a large, detailed effigy of the saint in full pontifical vestments and mitre, shown in repose, drawn from the famous bronze doors of Gniezno Cathedral, evoking Romanesque artistic tradition. The legend '1000 • LECIE' appears at the top of the field.
