| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a dynamic scene commemorating 450 years of the Polish Post. At centre, a period postal messenger dressed in 17th-century attire strides purposefully forward, carrying a large mail satchel over his shoulder and holding a letter, with a horn tucked behind him. The background features a finely engraved historical townscape with buildings, trees, and figures engaged in various activities, evoking the era of the postal service's founding. Along the upper arc, the legend POCZTY POLSKIEJ curves across the field, while the numerals 450 LAT appear prominently in the lower left. The Polish Post logo is depicted at the lower left, and the mirror-like proof fields contrast with the frosted relief to create a vivid sense of depth and historical narrative. |

| Additional information |
Issued to commemorate the Polish postal service, this coin belongs to NBP's long-running collector series documenting Polish institutions and infrastructure — a program that has produced well over a hundred silver issues since the 1990s. Holographic elements were incorporated into the design at the mint stage, a technique the Polish Mint (Mennica Polska) had been deploying on commemorative issues since the early 2000s to deter counterfeiting and add visual complexity to collector pieces.
Mintage for this type was capped at 55,000 pieces, consistent with NBP's standard print runs for silver commemoratives of this period.
