Obverse description The obverse displays the Polish state eagle — the crowned white eagle with wings displayed, facing forward — at center, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The eagle is shown with outstretched wings and stylized feather detail characteristic of the Polish People's Republic coinage type. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1967 appears in the lower exergual area flanked by decorative dots. The word PRÓBA (trial/pattern) appears in small letters to the right of the eagle, and the mint mark MW is present within the design, identifying the Warsaw Mint.
