Obverse description The Polish state eagle displayed with wings spread, rendered in a stylised medieval heraldic manner, occupies the central field. The eagle faces dexter, with its head raised, detailed feathering on the breast rendered as overlapping scales, and talons extended. The circular legend surrounding the eagle reads POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA at the top and DZIESIEC ZLOTYCH at the bottom, all in Latin capital letters within a raised rim with a milled edge.
