| Reverse description | The reverse presents an innovative modernist composition in which a large, multi-armed asterisk or scepter motif — referencing the royal scepter of Kazimierz Wielki — is superimposed over the incuse field, effectively canceling the strike. Behind the central device, fragmented inscriptions fill the field in a bold typographic arrangement referencing the 600th anniversary of the Jagiellonian University (founded 1364): the words SZEŚĆSETLECIE UNIWERSYTETU JAGIELLOŃSKIEGO are split across the field alongside the dates 1364 and 1964. The lower border carries the legend KAZIMIERZ WIELKI in relief lettering within a segmented arc. |
