Obverse description The field is dominated by a bold Latin cross design dividing the surface into four quadrants, with a large stylized letter 'M' (a Marian symbol) occupying the lower half beneath the horizontal arm of the cross. The crowned Polish eagle, the national emblem, is depicted in the upper right quadrant above the horizontal arm. The denomination '10 złotych' appears in the lower left quadrant. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' runs along the upper periphery, with the date '1998' at the lower right and the mint mark 'mw' visible near the base of the cross.
