| Obverse description | At centre, the Polish crowned white eagle with wings displayed is depicted within a circular cartouche, set against a stylised Gothic architectural background of pointed arches. Above the eagle, at the apex of the design, appears the Christogram 'IHS' on a globe symbol. The peripheral legend reads 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' to the left and '1997 ROK' to the right, with the denomination '10 ZŁOTYCH' inscribed along the lower rim.
