Obverse description Central field features a detailed high-relief depiction of a tall-masted sailing vessel beset and partially crushed by Antarctic pack ice, its rigging dramatically splayed against the mirrored proof field. To the upper right, the crowned Polish eagle — the national emblem — is rendered in fine detail. The denomination '10 ZŁ' appears in large numerals to the lower right of the eagle. The legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' curves along the upper rim, with the date '2007' inscribed to the left of the central design, and the mint mark 'MW' incorporated within the field.
