Obverse description The Polish national coat of arms — the White Eagle (Orzeł Biały) — is depicted centrally in high relief, facing right with wings spread, rendered with fine feather detail on the breast and wings. The date 1971 is divided and placed to the lower left and right of the eagle's talons, flanking the mint mark. The circumferential legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper field, while the denomination ZŁ 10 ZŁ appears along the lower rim, separated by small floral ornaments. The overall design is bold and heraldic in character.
