| Obverse description | The obverse presents a dynamic, multi-layered composition divided by diagonal lines evoking lightning bolts or bayonets. At centre-right stands the Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings displayed — rendered in fine relief against a mirror-polished field. To the left of the eagle, the denomination '10 ZŁ' appears in bold relief, with the mint mark 'MW' and the date '2009' positioned at lower right. At upper centre, a heraldic shield bearing the arms of Kraków (a crowned eagle above three roundels) is depicted above a commemorative stone tablet inscribed with a historical declaration referencing Commander Józef Piłsudski and the First Cadre Company of the Polish Legions, dated 6 August 1914. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' arcs around the periphery in Latin capitals. |
