Obverse description The Polish national coat of arms, the White Eagle (without crown, as used during the People's Republic era), displayed facing, with wings spread, talons outstretched, occupying the central field. The circular legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' runs along the upper periphery, with the denomination '10 ZŁ' and the date '1965' inscribed in the lower field, flanking the eagle's talons. The mint mark 'MW' (Mennica Warszawska) appears within the design. The design is executed in a bold, socialist-realist relief style.
