Obverse description Central device depicts the Polish crowned white eagle displayed, rendered in a stylized heraldic manner with wings spread and head facing right. The eagle is shown without a crown on its head, consistent with the People's Republic of Poland iconography of the period. The circular legend surrounding the field reads POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA, separated by raised dots, with the date 1969 and the mint mark MW positioned at the lower arc. The overall design is executed in low relief against a flat field, characteristic of trial strike production at the Warsaw Mint.
