Obverse description The Polish White Eagle, the national coat of arms of the Polish People's Republic, displayed centrally in the field with wings spread, head turned to the right, and talons clasping a shield at the base. The eagle is rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of mid-20th century Polish state heraldry. The circular legend POLSKA·RZECZPOSPOLITA·LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery, with the date ·1966· and the mint mark mw positioned in the lower field beneath the eagle.
