| Obverse description | The obverse features a highly detailed central motif inspired by ancient Chinese bronzeware ornamentation, depicting a rectangular cartouche with archaic seal-script characters rendered in high relief against a background of interlocking taotie and geometric bronze-age decorative patterns. The design evokes the aesthetic of Zhou-dynasty ritual bronzes, with the cartouche occupying the central field and symmetrical zoomorphic scroll patterns flanking it on either side.
