| Obverse description | The national emblem of the People's Republic of China occupies the upper central field, depicting Tiananmen Gate surmounted by five stars — one large star flanked by four smaller ones — all enclosed within a wreath of ears of grain tied at the base with a cogwheel, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. Symmetrical decorative foliate scrollwork flanks the emblem on either side at mid-field. The legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) is inscribed in Chinese characters along the lower portion of the field, with the Gregorian date 1992 appearing beneath in Arabic numerals. |
