| Obverse description | A finely detailed architectural view of the Tengwang Pavilion (滕王阁), a celebrated historic tower of Tang Dynasty origin located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. Two smaller pavilions flank the central structure symmetrically, with stylized clouds and birds depicted in the upper field. The Chinese legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs around the upper portion of the coin, while the inscription 滕王阁 appears below the main structure, and the date 1992 is placed at the bottom. |
