Surrounding the inscription are numerous relief daisy flowers (marguerites) scattered across the upper and lower portions of the field, referencing the Queen's namesake flower.

Reverse description A detailed relief depiction of the Christian IX Palace (Chr. IX. Palæ) at Amalienborg, Copenhagen, occupies the upper portion of the field, shown in frontal elevation with a flag flying from the rooftop. Below the architectural view, the legend is inscribed in three lines across the lower field. A monogram or mint mark appears in the lower right exergue.
