| Obverse description | The state arms of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea displayed centrally, comprising a hydroelectric power station and mountain landscape surmounted by a five-pointed star radiating rays, flanked by sheaves of rice bound with a ribbon, and bearing a scroll inscribed in Korean characters at the base.
