Reverse description The reverse is entirely blank save for the incuse mirror-image inscription 50 F struck in the lower central field, appearing reversed as a consequence of this being a reverse trial piece — effectively a uniface impression from the obverse die against an uninscribed reverse. The flat field shows the raw copper substrate, with the gold plating visible only at the raised rim, consistent with a die trial or essai format. The absence of any design elements confirms this piece was produced solely to test the obverse die impression and strike quality.
