Molossia is a micronation occupying a residential property in Dayton, Nevada, unrecognized by any government but formally declaring independence from the United States since 1999. The Valora, pegged to the value of Pillsbury Cookie Dough, is the official currency — not a souvenir or novelty token but a functioning exchange medium within the territory's approximately two dozen citizens.
Notes of this series were issued under Kevin Baugh's administration; Adrianne Baugh, co-signatory here, holds the position of First Lady of Molossia. The monetary system exists and operates on its own terms.
