| Reverse description | The reverse displays a bold multi-line Persian nastaliq inscription occupying the central field, naming the ruler Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar and including his royal titles. The legend reads in flowing calligraphic script across multiple registers, with the denomination '10 Toman' (ده تومان) appearing at the top of the coin along the upper border. The AH date 1314 (corresponding to 1897 AD) is inscribed in the lower portion of the central legend. The entire central inscription is surrounded by a decorative border of small six-pointed star or floral ornaments, interspersed with a beaded inner border, lending the reverse an elegant and formal appearance. |
