| Obverse description | Bare-headed, bearded bust of King Ferdinando II in right-facing profile, engraved in high relief with finely detailed hair and sideburns in the Neoclassical style. The effigy occupies the central field, truncated at the shoulder. A small engraver's star mark appears in the lower field beneath the bust. The circumferential Latin legend reads: FERDINANDVS II D.G.REGNI VTR.SIC.ET HIER.REX, separated from the toothed border by a raised inner rim. |

| Reverse description | The central field displays the denomination in two lines of bold serif capitals: TORNESI above DIECI, surmounted by a large, ornately detailed royal crown with cross finial, arched bands, and beaded rim rendered in high relief. A horizontal rule separates the denomination from the date 1856 placed in the lower field. The design is enclosed by a raised inner border and an outer toothed rim, leaving the field otherwise plain. |
