Obverse description The coat of arms of Samoa occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing fleurs-de-lis in the upper portion and wavy lines with the Southern Cross constellation in the lower portion, all surmounted by a cross. The shield is flanked by two symmetrical olive or palm branches forming a wreath, with a scroll below bearing the national motto FAVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA. The country name SAMOA I SISIFO arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin lettering, while the denomination $10 appears in the lower field.
