| Obverse description | The national arms of Samoa occupies the central field, consisting of a heraldic shield bearing the Southern Cross constellation and horizontal wavy lines, surmounted by a Latin cross, and flanked by two olive branches. A scroll beneath the shield carries the national motto in Latin script.
