| Obverse description | The central field bears the national coat of arms of Samoa, comprising a quartered shield displaying the Southern Cross constellation of five stars in the lower half and a coconut palm above stylised ocean waves in the upper half, the whole supported by a globe and flanked by two olive branches. Surmounting the shield is a Christian cross with radiating lines. A scroll banner beneath the shield bears the national motto in Latin script. The country name SAMOA arcs along the upper legend, while the denomination $10 appears in the exergue. |
