Obverse description The obverse carries the vignette of the Atia Mosque (আতিয়া মসজিদ), a four-domed Mughal-period structure situated on the eastern bank of the Louhajang River in Tangail District, Bangladesh. A commemorative overprint reading 'VICTORY DAY SILVER JUBILEE '96' is applied in the lower-left watermark area, distinguishing this issue as an overprint on the regular 10 Taka note (P#26b). Standard Bangladesh Bank inscriptions appear in Bengali and English.

Reverse description The reverse presents a vignette of the Kaptai Dam (কাপ্তাই বাঁধ), an earth-fill embankment dam constructed across the Karnaphuli River in Rangamati District, completed in 1962 and associated with the Karnafuli Hydroelectric Power Station. The design includes denomination panels and inscriptions in Bengali and English set against a multicolour guilloche underprint.
