| Obverse description | Square klippe flan with the interlaced GWC monogram of the Geoctroyeerde Westindische Compagnie prominently struck in the center, flanked by the numeral X denoting the denomination of 10 stuivers and the date 1654, all enclosed within a beaded circle. The design is characteristic of emergency coinage produced at the Recife Mint in Dutch Brazil during the final stages of Portuguese reconquest.
