| Obverse description | The second coat of arms of the People's Republic of Bulgaria occupies the central field, depicting a crowned rampant lion set upon a dark-and-light striped escutcheon, flanked by two symmetrical wheat sheaves bound at the base, with dates 681 and 1944 appearing at the lower portion of the shield. A five-pointed star surmounts the composition at the apex. The commemorative Cyrillic legend ХИЛЯДА И ТРИСТА ГОДИНИ curves along the upper periphery, while БЪЛГАРИЯ arcs along the lower periphery, both separated by small five-pointed stars at either side, all within a beaded border. |
