| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic rendered in high relief at centre, depicting a golden eagle displayed beneath a rising sun over mountains, enclosed within a circular legend. The inner design is set within a polished silver field and surrounded by an outer legend in Cyrillic script reading КЫРГЫЗСТАН УЛУУ ЖИБЕК ЖОЛУНДА (Kyrgyzstan on the Great Silk Road), arching around the upper periphery. Decorative Kyrgyz ornamental motifs flank the lower portion of the design. The inscription КЫРГЫЗ РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ (Kyrgyz Republic) appears on the coin around the coat of arms. The date 2009 is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
