(Translation: The Central Reserve Bank of Peru will pay the bearer TEN SOLES DE ORO according to Law No. 10535, Lima, August 21, 1958)
Reverse description Red intaglio print on paper. The Peruvian national coat of arms is set within an elaborate guilloche medallion at center, flanked by large numeral 10 panels enclosed in intricate lathe-work rosette frames at left and right. The bank title is inscribed in a panel at the top, and the denomination legend runs along the bottom in a decorative cartouche. The overall design is executed in a uniform red tone with fine engine-turned underprint throughout.
