| Obverse description | The central vignette comprises the State emblem of Uzbekistan — an Humo bird within a circular cartouche surmounted by a crescent and star — set against a dense violet-purple guilloche underprint of traditional Central Asian geometric ornament. To the left, a rectangular panel carries a star-lattice diaper pattern in salmon and pale blue tones, while to the right a white panel displays the year date 1994 and a secondary numeral 10 within an ornamental rosette. The large intaglio numeral '10' and the Cyrillic denomination 'УН СЎМ' appear in the lower centre, with the issuing authority's title in a blue-tinted band across the top. |

Uzbekistan's first domestically printed currency series, introduced after the sum replaced the Russian ruble in 1994, was produced at the Davlat Belgisi security printing facility in Tashkent — one of the few post-Soviet republics to establish its own banknote printing infrastructure within the first years of independence. At the lower denominations, including this note, inflation had already begun to erode practical utility almost immediately after issue; by the late 1990s, the 10 sum was functionally worthless in daily transactions.
Watermarking on the domestic print runs of this period was rudimentary compared to later issues in the series.
