| Reverse description | The reverse carries a dense typeset text in Cyrillic, comprising numbered extracts from the Imperial Manifesto on Credit Bills (Извлечение изъ Высочайшаго Манифеста о Кредитныхъ Билетахъ), arranged in six articles. A faint watermark impression of the crowned double-headed eagle is visible at the centre as an underprint, and a further ghosted large denomination numeral underprint appears in the lower half. The overall layout is plain letterpress with no vignette border, consistent with mid-nineteenth-century Russian fiscal printing practice. |
