| Additional information |
Biafra ceased to exist as a state in January 1970, when federal Nigerian forces ended the secession after a brutal 30-month civil war. This 2022 issue is not a historical artifact but a modern fantasy piece — no sovereign entity called Biafra has issued legal tender since the surrender. Such items are produced speculatively, typically marketed to diaspora communities or conflict-history collectors, and carry no governmental authority whatsoever.
