| Obverse description | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing horizontal lines and a five-pointed star, supported by two leopards rampant on either side, with a crossed spear and palm frond below. The denomination numeral '10' appears prominently in the lower field beneath the arms.
