| Obverse description | Bimetallic coin with a brass centre within a copper-nickel ring. The brass centre bears the arms of Somaliland: an eagle displayed supporting a balance scale, flanked by olive branches, with clasped hands below and a star at the base, all within an olive wreath. An Arabic inscription appears above the central device. The denomination '10' is incused at the lower centre of the ring, flanked by the legends 'SHILIN' to the left and 'SHILLINGS' to the right. The upper legend in the ring reads 'BAANKA SOMALILAND'. A ring of beads borders the outer rim. |
