Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in red and dominated by a large intaglio vignette of a recumbent lion at centre, rendered with fine line engraving. The bank name is set within an ornate cartouche above the lion, surrounded by intricate guilloche rosette patterns that fill the corners and borders. The denomination 10 appears in circular medallions at each corner, with TEN SHILLINGS inscribed in the upper central scroll.
