| Obverse description | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a central five-pointed star, supported by two leopards rampant on either side. The legend 'JAMHUURIYADDA DIMOQRAADIGA SOOMAALIYA' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while the corresponding Arabic inscription runs parallel within the inner border. The commemorative dates '1969-1979' appear in both Arabic-Indic and Western numerals beneath the shield, flanked by Arabic text reading 'الذكرى العاشرة الثورة' (Tenth Anniversary of the Revolution). The Somali legend 'SANNAD GUURADII 10AAD EE KAGANKA' is inscribed along the lower rim, completing the bilingual commemorative design. |
