| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian poetic legend in elegant Nasta'liq script, disposed across the full field within a plain border of raised pellets. The inscription references Shah Sulayman and the virtue of his coinage, concluding with the mint name Isfahan (اصفهان) in the lower field and the AH date 1093 in the lower register. The script lines are arranged horizontally across the coin with characteristic Safavid calligraphic fluency, filling the entire obverse surface. The irregular flan gives the piece its typical hand-struck appearance, consistent with Safavid hammered coinage of the period. |
