| Obverse description | The denomination numeral '10' dominates the central field in large, bold characters. The three-character legend '大日本' (Great Japan) arcs across the upper portion of the field. Two stylized chrysanthemum or snowflake ornamental devices flank the numeral at left and right. The Japanese imperial era date '2604' (corresponding to 1944) is inscribed in the lower field below the denomination. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle with a reeded border. |

| Reverse description | A Wayang kulit (Javanese shadow puppet) figure is depicted in full length at the centre of the field, rendered in the traditional stylised flat profile characteristic of Javanese theatrical puppetry. The puppet stands upon an ornate base with articulated rods extending from its arms. A five-petalled cherry blossom (sakura) ornament appears on each side of the figure in the mid-field, symbolising the Japanese imperial presence. The design is unlettered and enclosed within a raised inner circle. |
