| Obverse description | Black intaglio print over purple underprint; the central vignette presents an exterior perspective of the Ametsuchi-no-motohashira monument (八紘之基柱, also known as Hakkōichiu-no-tō 八紘一宇の塔) in Miyazaki, Japan, designed by HINAGO Jitsuzō, rendered with sunlight emanating from iridescent clouds on the left side.
