| Obverse description | The arms of Zürich — a per pale shield divided diagonally, displaying the city's heraldic charges — are presented within an elaborate baroque cartouche centered in the field, surmounted by a small ornamental crown. Small quatrefoil rosettes appear in the field flanking the cartouche. The circular Latin legend MONETA REIP. TIGURINÆ runs along the periphery, separated from the central device by a fine beaded inner border, with the coin's milled edge visible at the rim. |

| Reverse description | The four-line devotional inscription PRO DEO ET PATRIA (For God and Fatherland) is prominently displayed in the center of the field in bold roman lettering, with the date 1716 below. The entire central device is framed by two graceful laurel or olive sprigs rising from the base and curving symmetrically inward to meet at the top, tied at the foot with a small bow. Small pellet stops appear above the sprigs at the uppermost border. The design is set within a milled rim with no additional peripheral legend. |
