Obverse description The copper-nickel centre features the Lion Capital of Ashoka (the national emblem of India), depicting three lions atop an abacus adorned with a central Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and horse in low relief. The motto 'Satyameva Jayate' (Truth Alone Triumphs) is inscribed in Devanagari script below the capital. The denomination '₹ 10' appears prominently in the lower field. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the legend 'भारत' in Devanagari to the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the right.
