| Additional information |
Pattern coins from the State Bank of Pakistan rarely surface in collector channels, as they are produced in extremely limited quantities for internal approval purposes and almost never officially released or documented in public mintage records. This piece dates to a period when Pakistan was actively evaluating bimetallic and brass alternatives for higher-denomination circulation coinage, driven partly by the rising cost of producing the existing cupro-nickel issues relative to their face value.
