| Obverse description | A portrait of King George VI in full regalia occupies the right side of the note, set within an ornate intaglio-engraved frame with guilloche underprint in blue-grey tones. The central panel bears the promise text and denomination TEN RUPEES in large letterpress, with a red two-line overprint reading MILITARY ADMINISTRATION OF BURMA / LEGAL TENDER IN BURMA ONLY applied diagonally across the face. The upper portion carries the issuing authority legend RESERVE BANK OF INDIA, with serial number and prefix in the lower right and the Governor's signature at lower left. |
