| Reverse description | The copper-nickel centre features a detailed architectural rendering of a Sikh Gurdwara (identified as the Takht Sri Hazur Sahib or a representative Gurdwara), depicted in frontal elevation with characteristic domed pavilions, arched entrances, and a tall flagpole (Nishan Sahib) to the right. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries, along the upper arc, the Devanagari legend 'गुर-ता-गद्दी की त्रि शताब्दी' and the English legend 'TER-CENTENARY OF GUR-TA-GADDI'. Along the lower arc, the Gurmukhi verse 'ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਬਾਣੀ' is inscribed, with the date '2008' at the bottom of the ring flanked by decorative dots. |
