| Obverse description | The four-lion capital of Ashoka (the Lion Capital of Sarnath) is depicted centrally, rendered in high relief atop its abacus with the Dharma Chakra visible at center. The national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) appears in Devanagari script below the capital.
