Obverse description The right half of the obverse is dominated by an intaglio vignette of the octagonal shrine of the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) in Kandy, rendered in fine line engraving against a multicolour guilloche underprint in pink, gold, and green. To the left, a decorative floral sprig with blossoms and foliage forms the primary artistic motif, set within an ornate cartouche reserved for the watermark area. The bank name appears at the top in Sinhala, Tamil, and English scripts, with the denomination stated in all three languages and numerals at each corner.

Reverse description The central vignette presents an intaglio view of the Dagoba of the Raja Maha Vihare at Kelaniya, its distinctive hemispherical stupa rising behind an ornate ceremonial gateway, with ancillary temple buildings rendered in precise line engraving across the lower half. A large circular watermark window is bordered by an elaborate floral and foliate surround in pink and gold tones occupying the upper centre. The bank name in Sinhala, Tamil, and English runs along the top, with the denomination inscribed in all three scripts and the numeral 10 at lower right; the printer's imprint "BRADBURY WILKINSON" appears in small lettering at the bottom centre.
