Obverse description Central field features the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar, the national emblem of India, rendered in relief. The motto 'Satyamev Jayate' (Truth Alone Prevails) is inscribed in Devanagari script below the emblem. The denomination '10' appears in the lower field accompanied by the Indian Rupee symbol (₹). The country names 'भारत' (in Devanagari) and 'INDIA' (in Latin script) are distributed around the upper periphery of the coin.

Reverse description The copper-nickel centre bears a detailed facing bust portrait of Swami Chinmayananda, depicted wearing spectacles and his characteristic monastic robes, with a full flowing beard. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries a bilingual commemorative legend: in Devanagari script along the upper arc reading 'स्वामी चिन्मयानंद की जन्मशती', and in Latin script along the lower arc reading 'BIRTH CENTENARY OF SWAMI CHINMAYANANDA'. The date '2015' appears at the base of the ring below the portrait.
