Obverse description At the centre of the disc, the face value '10 РУБЛЕЙ' is rendered in large numerals and Cyrillic lettering within a two-colour bimetallic-style steel planchet. Within the aperture of the numeral '0', a latent image alternates between the numeral '10' and the abbreviation 'РУБ' when the viewing angle is changed, serving as an anti-counterfeiting device. Encircling the upper rim is the issuer legend 'БАНК РОССИИ', while the date '2012' and the mint mark 'СПМД' appear along the lower rim. A stylised olive branch is positioned to the left of the central device and an oak branch to the right, both rendered in low relief against the flat field.
