| Obverse description | Central device features the Russian state emblem, a double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, set within a beaded inner circle. The denomination '10 РУБЛЕЙ' appears in the upper legend and the year '1997г.' along the right side, both in Cyrillic characters. Below the eagle, the legend 'БАНК РОССИИ' (Bank of Russia) curves along the lower rim within the beaded border. The fineness mark 'Ач 999' and the mint mark 'ЛМД' with the weight indicator '1,55' are inscribed in the lower field flanking the eagle's talons. The entire design is struck in proof finish against a mirrored field. |
